The new film “Let Me In”, a remake of Swedish vampire flick “Let the Right One In”, has only furthered the current boom in vampire fiction that is dominating our screens, both big and small. After a brief pause following the ending of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 2003, vampires came back with a vengeance and it’s now hard to find much on screen that doesn’t have anything to do with these blood-sucking beings.

While it’s true that the current craze for vampires can largely be attributed to the enormous interest in the Twilight franchise, other media involving these darkness-dwelling creatures proves that not all vampires were created equal. In fact, many of the vampires depicted on film and TV are a far cry from Twilight’s tame, house-trained versions. And while vampires in the hit show True Blood walk amongst humans and are far more polite and less murderous than, say, the vampires we know from Buffy, they’re certainly not angelic.

True Blood and The Vampire Diaries are two of the prominent vampire-based shows currently enjoying big audiences on television. There’s something about vampires that is alluring and attractive, meaning that viewers of all ages and tastes find something about these shows to draw their interest. And it’s very possible that “Let Me In” wasn’t remade for an American audience just because the Swedish version was really good: its subject matter more than likely had a large impact on why that particular film was selected over a whole host of other undoubtedly excellent Swedish films. In the cultural taste of today, vampires sell – so producers and movie makers are keeping their eyes peeled for ways to exploit such popularity and turn it into shiny new dollars.

There’s no saying how long the vampire craze will last, but one thing’s for sure: even after this phase is over, vampires will be back. Vampires have always been a cultural fascination and are something that society loves to read about and watch. Whether it’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula, one of the most famous Gothic novels of its time, Nosferatu, or even nineties cartoon star Count Duckula, vampires are something that frequently make an appearance in the fictional media of the world.

Thriller movies, unlike other common genres, have the powerful effect to be able to influence our brains. It works in a way that watching these movies can slowly plant a unique logic into our minds that enhances our ability to think deeper and smarter. From the scientific point of view, movies like detective, murder or adventure can actually enhance audiences’ attentiveness and observational abilities. This is because they are capable of stimulating the vibration in the human’s nervous system by injecting massively the electrifying sequences.

It is from the mouths of most viewers that movies of thriller genre can be mind-boggling, fear-provoking and hair raising. Some even claimed in a humorous way that watching thrillers can fully exercise the brain cells. In fact, there is a priceless theory proposed by physicist Newton, displaying explanation that every single action by human will exert an equal as well as opposing respond. This concept applies perfectly into viewing the movies of thriller. Perhaps this indication goes well with the saying that thrillers can make one feel entertained and stressed at the same time. The adrenaline rush, tingling of spine produces vibrations in your nerves.

Nevertheless, the stress triggered by watching thriller movies is not at all harmful. The temporary tension stimulated is healthy and leaves the mind almost immediately to be transformed into some kind of indescribable relaxation, precisely compatible to the Newton’s law. From there, the stress and relaxation then slowly enhance, ounce by ounce, the intelligence and wisdom of a person then the stress slowly vanishes. Should there be existence of any puzzling moments in the movies; the dormant brain cells of human will be effectively charged. In time, the intellectual horizon of a person will expand and the observational abilities will be expanded as well.

Not all vampires are adult men with a white face and a widow’s peak. While Count Alacard made famous Dracula, legend has it that there are many forms of vampires. As the story goes, anyone that is bitten by a vampire becomes a vampire and lives in immortality feasting on the blood of others. And so the cycle goes. But did anyone stop to think that there must be children vampires. In fact, wasn’t there one in the infamous book and film, “Interview With A Vampire” by Anne Rice?

Wouldn’t it be interesting to follow the eternal life of a child vampire? Does he hide it from his parents? Does he hide it from his friends? How does he attend school? And more importantly – does he drink blood from people’s necks to survive? A child vampire is destined to be a child forever and ever. But what if he wanted to live out at least one lifetime as a normal boy before disappearing into obscurity? And what if he didn’t want to hurt people and subject them to the same fate as he himself is suffering? Luckily, there are children’s books that deal with this very subject. A favorite among children, vampires always rank high. But a child vampire ranks off the charts. Children imagine what it would be like to stay up all night long and get to be a kid forever. While it all sounds great, delving into the story children see the downside and learn what it is like for one particular child who is living that life.

Is it really so great to live forever if you must take the life of other’s to do so? And what about all your friends who eventually grow up and leave you behind? These type of stories allow children to delve deep into their minds and explore the good and bad to any situation and to realize that not everyone is the same. They learn that some people may have secrets or crosses to bear in life and that being considerate of other people’s trials and tribulations is important. Books that explore the life of children vampires and other mythical creatures, are more sophisticated than the typical children’s book, yet still suitable and relatable to the child. Parents love the life lessons taught by a child vampire who at first seems like he is living the ultimate fantasy.

The mere mention of the word Vampire brings up an image of a pale white man with sharp teeth drinking blood. Or it may also remind you of a beautiful woman who in an instant would turn into a blood-sucking ghost. As far as history of vampires is concerned there is no exact date known to anyone; however a few people are of the opinion that it started with a novel published in 1897 by Bram Stocker. No matter who started and when, but we all are so intrigued by their existence that we often believe that they exist.

But there are many sources that also claim that vampires were mentioned in various forms, such as pottery, scriptures in ancient Babylon era. For example, demon Lilitu was mentioned in the history as early as 4000 BC in Babylon pottery. She was portrayed as a woman who loved to suck blood of young men with sexual intentions. Many men said to have seen vampires in their erotic dreams and thoughts. Most of these vampires intended to seduce young men by coming into their dreams and henceforth made them their preys or victims. These vampires were known to be very beautiful by looks and seductive by nature so that they could have found their victims too easily.

Let’s see some brief introduction about the history of Halloween. Halloween, as we all know is a holiday celebrated on October 31 every year. As far as roots of Halloween are concerned they can be found in Celtic festival of Samhain and Christianity. But in the modern world almost every country in Western world celebrates this day. Needless to say this day is very special day to children and youngsters who dress up like ghosts and wear other unusual things to portray themselves like ghost and skeletons. They usually go from door to door and their near and dear ones to show their tricks and in return they get candies, chocolates and sometimes a few coins for their efforts.

Pumpkin lanterns and other ghostly images are being used on this day to make people laugh and sometimes frightened. Apart from just frightening and entertaining people, Halloween has very rich and vast history along with a special message on this last day of summers. Centuries ago, people especially Celtic people from Western Europe strongly believed that on the last day of summer all living beings join together including human beings and kingdom of dead.
